The name

|
of
the
villages
came with its first inhabitants.
“Dobri neshta” (means "Good things") said the people, charmed by
the beauty of the nature, the mineral springs and the fresh air,
and thus they gave it the name.
Honestly Dobrinishte is perfect for recreation and tourism. It
used to be the most famous resort, both ski and spa, in the Pirin
Mountain. But recently,
after a lot of investments in the town of Bansko, which has turned into the best winter resort in Pirin, Dobrinishte
went in to a shadow. We are
sure it will become a popular place again soon,
mainly because compared to Bansko the mountain around the village is much easily
accessible and far from alpine, and because of the hot mineral
springs. |
Hot Mineral Springs
Dobrinishte is
the spa resort in Pirin with 17 mineral springs with temperature
of the water between 30 and 43 C. Many of them
are popular for their curative effect. The water is known to cure almost every disease
- diseases of the nervous system, the
skin, the joints, the
kidneys, the liver, the gall, etc.
The most
famous of the springs is the Silver one - rich in silver ions and
history – once the ancient Romans bathed there for hours. Now a
days there are several holiday houses with facilities for spa
therapy.
Tourist Attractions
A unique attraction is the
Edelweiss garden, which is the only one in Bulgaria. For the
cultural and historical lovers interest will provoke the churches
“St. Peter and St. Paul” and “Assumption of Most Holy Mary”. In
the surroundings of the village is located the monastery "St. Pantaleimon", the place called St. Nicola with a water fall of the
same name.
Hiking and
Tourism
Pirin is one of the best mountains
for tourism. Its natural beauty and the rich diversity of
fauna and flora are a natural asset treasured by the formation of
a national park, included in the WORLD NATURAL HERITAGE list. Pirin rivals the Alps with its rugged peaks, great
ridges and panoramic vistas. Here you can really appreciate the
peace and tranquility, and enjoy a sense of breaking new ground. |
